Your safety is our number one concern so if the weather seems dangerous we may reach out to you to reschedule. Mother Nature can throw us some doozies too and when that means high winds (12+ mph), heavy rain, extremely cold temps (under 40 degrees if wet out), and/or snow, unhealthy AQI ranges (air quality index levels of orange or worse), or extreme heat warnings we may need to reschedule. Radical Roots MTB LLC has the right to cancel lessons/events at any time when the safety of clients is compromised due to unacceptable riding conditions or for any other circumstances which are outside of Radical Roots MTB's control. A full refund or alternative to reschedule will be given in all circumstances.
EVENTS & GROUP PROGRAM CANCELLATION POLICY:
Below is our cancellation policy for weekend training events like Transition Women’s Weekend, etc and our group programs like Radical Rippers, etc. We plan our events and programs months in advance and spend many hours working to create an exceptional experience for every participant. This means the closer we get to the event or program offer, the harder it is to make changes on our end and the less likely it is that someone can jump in from our wait-list to take an open spot. We also hire many independent contractors that depend on income from the gig work we offer them and we try our best to keep last minute cancellations from having a negative effect on these workers.
Please contact us ASAP to let us know if you are going to be unable to make it to our event. In general, our event and group program registrations are non-transferable (to other events or other participants).
Cancellations received at least 14 days prior to event or starting day of the program will receive a full refund, less $50 admin fee.
Cancellations received from 7-13 days prior to the event or starting day of the program will receive a 50% refund.
Cancellations within 0-6 days of the event or starting day of the program are considered a "no show" and will not receive a refund.

CHECK-IN:
We recommend coming to your lesson 5-10 minutes prior to the start to give yourself time to get ready to ride and to give your coach a few minutes to do a safety check and fit inspection of your bike.
EQUIPMENT:
All clients must arrive with an appropriate, well maintained, fully functioning mountain bike fit for technical off-road use. All clients must wear a helmet that is certified to the CPSC standard at all times while on a bike. It is recommended that clients also wear protective eye-wear, gloves, knee, and elbow pads. A small pack is useful for carrying spare clothing, food, water, and equipment. Clients should be aware that they could be riding in wild and hostile environments where weather can change suddenly and without warning. Read more about how to come prepared to your lesson here.
FACILITIES:
Not all clinic locations will have bathroom facilities available so please plan ahead and come prepared to go out in nature.
MEDICAL AND OTHER CONCERNS:
Mountain biking is an inherently dangerous sport with unpredictable risks. Minor injuries (scrapes, sprains, scratches, and bruises) can occur, as well as major injuries (concussions, broken bones, and heart attacks). There is always a chance of catastrophic injuries including paralysis and death. All clients are required to sign the Radical Roots MTB Instruction waiver and by doing so they are indicating that they understand and agree to assuming responsibility for the risks and dangers of the sport of mountain biking and that they know of no personal disability or medical condition, physical or mental, which may affect their ability to take part in the lesson. Radical Roots MTB Instruction will provide students with training in an appropriately safe working environment and provide them with a fully qualified and insured coach or guide. Clients will not be placed under any pressure to perform skills yet it is advisable to check that your insurance policy covers adventure activities. Clients should ride within their own riding experience and limits. Radical Roots MTB LLC accepts no liability for any loss, damage or injury to persons or property who are participating in a Radical Roots MTB activity.
